Thirteen Months Later: 4,925 U.S. Visitors, 1,691 International Visitors, 193 Countries and Every Single Continent on the Planet!

Those statistics are are overwhelming!  As I’ve said before, when I started this blog/book, I simply wanted a place to record my thoughts, wonderings and travels.

Now, the Todd’s Teardrop Blog has been visited by nearly 7,000 people.  I’m going to say that every single continent has checked in because I know there are a few people in Antarctica that have read the blog, but just don’t ‘show up’ as Antarctica.

I think it might have something to do with how the IP addresses are assigned to the various research facilities there.  Regardless, there have been thousands more visitors and countries then I could have EVER have imagined!

37 States; 16 Countries; 5 Continents; One Month!

When I started this blog, it was really just a place to put all my thoughts about my teardrop.  I started recording my thoughts in January when I realized that a lot was happening behind the scenes and I didn't want to forget anything that happened.  Also, owning a teardrop went from a 'dream' of building my own, to purchasing a 1947 Tourette shortly after Christmas last year.  I've kept a journal off and on for most of my life.  I found that I can type A LOT faster than I can write.  Additionally, I like that blogging allows me to easily insert images, videos, links, etc.  On top of that, I have the chance to get feedback from others who are in different stages of teardrop ownership as well.

I didn't add the ClustrMap to my blog until April 1 of this year.  Since that time, just over a month, the blog has had 320 visits.  And, like the title of this post, those visits have come from over 37 states; 16 countries and 5 continents!

The only thing that would make this whole process even better is to know who is out there reading.  How can you do that?  Simple.  Just comment in the comment box below.  I'd love to know who you are.  Are you a teardropper?  Are you planning to build your own? Do you already have one?

It would be fun to share stories.

Thanks for reading!

Fellow Teardropper: Gary from New Zealand!

I recently discovered that someone from New Zealand had been reading my blog.  I came to find out that the person is Gary and he writes about his beautiful, hand made teardrop on his blog entitled:  A Teardrop for Gary and Rose.

Gary's blog is full of images of he and his wife's teardrop being viewed by hundreds of curious onlookers.  One blog entry mentioned that over 700 people visited him when he set up his teardrop at a vintage caravan show.  I also love that Gary brought his teardrop to a wedding and spent the night in it after a night filled with revelry!  Now that's good planning! Nothing like a 'bring your own hotel' kind of guest!  I look forward to being able to bring my teardrop with me as an alternative to hotels!  Gary's blog also shows many of the insanely beautiful personal touches, like his ingenious windows!  I am looking forward to studying his design and implementing some of his techniques into my re-build.
